What is the project about?
“Kantonsgipfeli” accompanies student Tobias Renggli on his unusual adventure: exploring all 26 Swiss cantons by bike and climbing the highest points on foot — while searching for the best Swiss croissant. The film shows how Tobias navigates between athletic challenge and enjoyment. Each summit becomes a small journey of discovery, where athletic achievement and culinary delight go hand in hand. With highs and lows, many croissant variations, and a good dose of humor, the local adventure is told in a lively and entertaining way.
Why is the project relevant?
“Kantonsgipfeli” shows that sport is not just about performance, but also about joy, enjoyment, and experience. The film shows how to find the balance between challenge and personal pleasure—a perspective that appeals to both outdoor enthusiasts and connoisseurs.

My role in the project
As part of a larger film crew, I accompanied Tobias with a camera from the foot of Piz Bernina, over the Ringelspitz to the Vanil Noir, to authentically capture his athletic journey. I edited the film together with my junior editor Timothé Kimmel, striking a dramatic balance between performance and enjoyment. The project arose from the idea of how to make personal challenges creative and enjoyable.
